Pasco homeowners: get your free design preview in a couple of clicks.
Yes, KWLE puts permanent Christmas lights on Pasco County homes, from Wesley Chapel and Land O’ Lakes over to New Port Richey and Hudson. The track goes up once, under the soffit and along each gable rake, and from then on a Pasco December starts with a tap on your phone rather than a trip to the attic for bins. We are Keywest Lights & Electric, a woman-owned business and Florida electrical contractor (EC13014717) whose crews drive up from 6248 Seminole Blvd. Come January, the outline shifts to warm white or whatever occasion is next on your calendar. For the broader county picture, see JellyFish Lighting in Pasco County.

Housing in Pasco splits two ways. Federal Census estimates for 2020–2024 count 611,444 residents, and the median home was built in 1992, so half of Pasco’s homes date to 1992 or earlier. Detached houses make up 63.6% of the county’s homes. East Pasco’s newer master-planned neighborhoods sit alongside west Pasco’s older Gulf-coast streets. Each kind of street needs its own plan, and we draw one for both. KWLE is an authorized JellyFish dealer serving Pasco; we are a separate company from the manufacturer. Phone 727-476-7079.
How permanent Christmas lighting works
Picture a slim channel, finished in your trim color, running under the soffit and climbing the gable rakes. Small LEDs seat into it and stay put through every season, with nothing fastened to shingles or tile. Up in the garage, a compact controller plugs into a receptacle you already have and talks to your phone over Wi-Fi. Christmas becomes a saved scene; every other date is yours to fill.
New homes in Wesley Chapel, Land O’ Lakes and Trinity
Pasco’s newer communities are full of two-story stucco homes with tall entry gables and garage gables. Those are dramatic to light and hard to decorate by ladder. A few things we plan for in these communities:
- Design review boards: deed-restricted neighborhoods want to see the plan first, so we prepare the paperwork for your submission.
- Second-story eaves: tighter light spacing keeps the line crisp when it’s viewed from the sidewalk.
- Pool cages: back eaves above the cage can be lit, but the cage itself isn’t used for mounting.
- Brand-new houses: we schedule once the painters and soffit crews have wrapped up.
Older homes in west Pasco
New Port Richey, Holiday, Port Richey, Elfers and Hudson have older single-story homes with low eaves, many of them concrete block. These are quick to light at 9-inch spacing. Older wiring is the main variable here, so the garage receptacle gets tested and the breaker panel gets a look before any number goes on paper; electrical repairs, if needed, appear as their own line.

December, scheduled
- Thanksgiving weekend: Christmas palette on from dusk.
- December weeknights: lights off at 10:30 p.m.
- December weekends: on until midnight.
- Christmas Eve: a slow-twinkle scene.
- After New Year’s: everyday warm white.
The app has a yearly calendar that repeats the plan every year, so nothing needs resetting.
Storms in Pasco
In October 2024 the National Weather Service reported that Pasco ordered evacuations of zones A, B and C ahead of Milton, with gusts reaching 59 mph near Zephyrhills. A permanent system asks nothing of you before an evacuation: the channel is screwed in under the overhang and the controller sits inside. Back home, reset the garage GFCI if it tripped and play one scene to confirm everything answers.
Gulf-coast homes and turtle season
FWC guidance asks beachfront owners to keep lights visible from a nesting beach dark between May 1 and October 31. The Gulf-facing run gets its own schedule that sleeps through those months, and December falls outside nesting season, so the whole outline can glow.
Two zones, an extra option
Splitting the outline into two separately scheduled sections is an add-on we offer. Pasco owners pick it for festive color out front and calm white above the pool cage, or for a gentler look on the side facing a nearby window.
Commuters and dark December evenings
If you commute, it’s dark by the time you get home in December. Lights on a sunset timer mean the house is already glowing when you pull in. A brighter white over the driveway can come on with the Christmas scene to light the walk to the door.
What we check before quoting
- Soffit material and how firmly it’s fastened, especially vinyl on newer homes.
- Fascia condition on older west Pasco homes.
- The garage receptacle’s grounding, GFCI protection and what else shares the circuit.
- The panel’s age and condition.
- HOA rules for exterior changes.
Anything that needs work is photographed and quoted separately.
Gift idea for parents
Sons and daughters set this up for parents in west Pasco who are done with ladders. Mom and Dad get a glowing house each Christmas, and relatives can join the app to tweak scenes from wherever they live. On install day we sit with the homeowner and go through the controls face to face.
Color ideas for Christmas
Red and green, all warm white, cool white with icy blue, red and white candy cane, or multicolor. Some homes use one palette all month, and others rotate a different one each weekend. Each can be steady, slow-fading or twinkling, at the brightness you choose.
Permanent lights or seasonal strands?
Seasonal strands bring two ladder sessions a year, extension cords across the lawn and storage tubs. A fixed track ends all three. On a tall Wesley Chapel two-story, skipping those ladder climbs is the whole point.

Beyond December
Use the same lights for patriotic colors on the Fourth, orange for Halloween, game-day colors and a soft white on ordinary evenings.

Pasco permanent Christmas lights FAQ
Looking for permanent Christmas lights near me around Pasco County, where do I begin?
Start with a photo for a design preview; after that, we book a visit to measure your Pasco eaves.
Where does the controller for Christmas light installation go?
Inside your garage, on the wall beside a receptacle we have tested.
Do I need a new outlet? Not when the garage receptacle passes our test; if it fails, we explain the fix first.
Will lights be visible in daylight? Barely. The channel is tinted to your fascia color and tucked beneath the eave.
What if I’m away for the holidays? Scenes fire on their programmed dates whether you’re home or not, and the app works from out of town.
Do you install permanent Christmas lights in Wesley Chapel? Yes, along with the rest of central Pasco; see our JellyFish lighting in Wesley Chapel page.
Here is what we put together for your association:
- The JellyFish product information sheet
- The channel finish we’ll use so it disappears against the eave
- A photo of your home marked with the planned runs along the eaves and gable rakes
- Where the controller goes (inside the garage) and how it is powered
- Our Florida electrical contractor license number, EC13014717
Your HOA has the final say; we hand you the paperwork to ask.
Can I get permanent holiday lights installed in Pasco? Yes, from Hudson down to the Hillsborough line.
Are permanent Christmas lights worth it in Pasco? On a two-story house where hanging strands means a tall ladder, owners tell us it is. The same outline also earns its keep the other eleven months.
What does the warranty cover? Parts: 5 years from JellyFish. Our workmanship: 2 years, or 5 with Member Care.

Permanent lights or a hang-and-remove crew: which fits a Pasco home?
A seasonal crew comes twice a year, once to hang and once to pull everything down. If you only want one Christmas, that works. If you decorate every winter, a JellyFish outline installed once along the eaves and gable rakes saves the repeat visits and covers every other occasion too.
