The housing is mixed: 47.1% detached houses, 15.3% mobile or manufactured homes and 18.9% in buildings of 20 or more units, and 26.1% built in the 1970s. Start with the house you have
The age of a house shapes the job more than anything else. A home built in the 1970s may have soffits that were patched or replaced since then, fascia boards in mixed condition, and a garage receptacle older than the rest of the wiring. None of that rules out JellyFish. It just means we look closely first. On the design visit, our electrician walks the eaves and notes any soft wood or loose vents. In the garage, we look at the circuit we would use. You get a written list of anything that should be fixed first, and you decide who fixes it.
Where the light lives
Track runs under the soffit along the eaves and up any gable rakes the house has. Nothing touches the roof, and no fastener goes through shingle, metal or tile. It’s tinted to the soffit and stands about a quarter inch out, so by day it hardly registers from the sidewalk.
Power: one controller, one garage outlet
The lights run from one controller on a garage wall, on the existing outlet, with a low-voltage cable up into the soffit. As licensed electricians we test that outlet and its breaker, check GFCI protection and see what shares the circuit. A receptacle in poor shape gets a plain answer from us, and the controller never goes on it.
For condo owners and renters
Since 18.9% of the city’s housing is in buildings of 20 or more units, condo owners call too. An install needs control of the eaves and a protected spot such as a garage for the controller, so a condo owner needs board approval for that unit before we book. Renters should begin with the landlord, because the lights become a fixed part of the house.
Manufactured homes in Port Richey
15.3% of homes here are mobile or manufactured homes. Some have enough overhang and solid fascia for the track; others don’t. Where there’s no garage, the controller needs a dry, protected indoor spot with an existing outlet. We’ll check both on the visit and tell you honestly whether yours is a fit.
Living near the water
Port Richey sits on the Pasco coast. During Hurricane Helene in September 2024, the National Weather Service measured a peak water level of 5.04 feet above mean higher high water at the nearby New Port Richey gauge before it stopped reporting, with gusts to 56 mph near New Port Richey. Under the eave, the lights stay above most of what a storm throws, the controller stays in the garage, and there’s nothing to take down beforehand.
What you can do with it
JellyFish lights are individually addressable color LEDs on a redundant data line. That means:
- Permanent Christmas lights in classic multicolor, all-white, or red and green, with chases and twinkles if you like.
- Permanent holiday light scenes for Halloween, the Fourth, Valentine’s Day and the rest, saved once and reused every year.
- Everyday white accent lighting, adjustable from a warm 2700K up to 5000K, for a lit entry and safer steps after dark.
- A calendar that runs it all from sunset, whether or not you’re in town.
Spacing comes in 6, 9 or 16 inches. On a modest single-story house, 9 inches looks right.
Small lot, big effect
A one-story house on a compact lot has advantages. A shorter eave run reads all at once from the street, a single gable over the garage or entry gives the design a center, and with the eave near eye level, warm white falls right on the walk, the door and the house number. We suggest outlining every street-side eave and lighting the back only where you use the yard at night, then tuning spacing and scenes to what you see from the porch or driveway. On a small house, a good result is about even lines, matched color and scenes worth keeping, more than raw brightness.
Zones
Out of the box it’s one zone. KWLE can wire a second as an option, for front and back, or for the house and a detached garage.
Warranty
Parts on lights and controller: 5 years from JellyFish. Labor: KWLE, 2 years, or 5 with Member Care.
Permits
When a job needs a permit, KWLE pulls it on our license and meets the inspector.

Found us with Christmas light installers? We cover Port Richey
Once the system is up, an app schedule switches it on at dusk with no one touching a switch. The plan is drawn to your own eave lines rather than a template, and we decide where the control box goes before the first fastener is set.
Christmas light installation in Port Richey takes four short steps: mockup, on-site measure, install day, app lesson. A bright white scene can double as driveway security light when you’re away. Our state-licensed electricians (EC13014717) carry the job from plan to final app setup.
Port Richey questions
How do I book permanent Christmas lights near me from Port Richey?
We do. Our install crew drives to Port Richey for the on-site measure, then returns to complete permanent Christmas light installation in a single trip on most houses.
Do I need to be house for permanent lighting installation in Port Richey?
An adult should be home at the start and finish so we can confirm the plan and set up the app with you.
My house is older. Can it still get JellyFish? Yes, in most cases. We check the soffit and fascia first, and we’ll tell you if any repair should come first.
Will I see the track during the day? Very little. It’s slim, it’s the color of your soffit, and it sits in the shadow of the eave.
Can I control it when I’m away? Yes, from the app, as long as the controller stays on your home Wi-Fi.
Do the lights get hot? No. They’re LEDs, and they run cool to the touch.
Are you woman-owned? Yes, KWLE is a woman-owned business.

How does a one-time install stack up against seasonal hanging?
If you decorate every year, one install ends the routine of hanging, removing and storing; for a single season, hiring hangers is simpler. On a Port Richey house we fix the JellyFish track once under the eaves and up the gable rakes, and the app runs each holiday after that, including blue and white for Hanukkah lights.
