Government Service

Repairs, scheduled maintenance and small upgrades that keep occupied public buildings running, with emergency calls taken 24/7.

Government Service is one of our six divisions. It handles the day-to-day electrical work at buildings that stay open while we work on them: offices, parks and recreation sites, public-works yards, clinics and hospitals. Our experience includes VA hospital work at the Bay Pines VA hospital in Bay Pines, FL, and the James A. Haley VA facility in Tampa, as well as municipal and federal projects. We’re ready to support military and Department of Defense facilities. Building something new or gutting a floor? That’s our Government Construction division.

Working in buildings that stay open

Most government service calls happen while staff and the public are inside. Before we shut anything off, we walk the affected circuits with your facility manager, agree on a shutdown window, and put disruptive work on nights or weekends when daytime power can’t be lost. We follow the site’s check-in, badging and escort rules. When we leave, you get a written note of what we found, what we fixed and anything still open, so the next work order starts from facts.

FAQ

Where do you take government service calls? Service calls and maintenance visits are within about 40 miles of our Seminole shop, across Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Manatee and Sarasota counties. Larger government projects can be anywhere in Florida.

Have you done service work at federal facilities? Yes. That includes VA hospital work at Bay Pines VA and the James A. Haley VA facility in Tampa, along with other federal and municipal work.

Are you a woman-owned business? Yes. We’re a 51% woman-owned business. Our WBE certification is in process, so ask us for its status when you’re preparing a solicitation.

Can you work nights or weekends so the building stays open? Yes. The office is open Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM. We schedule weekend work and planned night shutdowns when a facility can’t lose power during the day, and we take emergency calls 24/7.

Can you test and log our emergency lights and exit signs? Yes. We run the monthly 30-second and annual 90-minute tests NFPA 101 calls for on battery units, record the results and replace what fails. Your fire marshal or authority having jurisdiction decides which code edition and records apply.

Are you bondable for service and maintenance contracts? Yes. We’re licensed, insured and bondable up to $1 million.
