Newer homes, built mostly in the 2000s
Trinity is one of the newest places we serve. The median home was built in 2006, and nearly 30% of the housing went up in 2010 or later (Census ACS 2020–2024). About 18,900 people live here, and about 86% of homes are owner-occupied. With homes this new, it’s rarely about replacing worn-out equipment. Owners want to add things: EV chargers, generator connections, smart panels, surge protection and permanent lighting.
Trinity at a glance (U.S. Census Bureau, ACS 2020–2024 5-year estimates):
- Population: about 18,907
- Typical (median) home built: 2006
- Homes older than 1980: 2.4%
- Homes from 2010 on: 29.7%
- Homes lived in by owners: 85.7%
- Detached houses: 87.4%
Newer single-family homes
About 87% of Trinity homes are single-family detached, essentially none are manufactured homes, and only about 2% predate 1980 (ACS 2020–2024). This is a newer, uniform housing stock, and owners want to add capability rather than fix old problems.
2000s Trinity homes getting new loads
With roughly 29.7% of the housing in Trinity dating from 2010 or later, many owners call us within a few years of closing. The most common requests are an EV circuit in the garage, a surge protector at the panel and a generator connection before storm season. We keep that work tidy and permitted and label every new breaker.

Storm season planning in Trinity
Trinity covers about 6.19 square miles of land and 0.08 of water (Census Gazetteer). Zones are set by address, so check yours on the Pasco County Evac Finder. Around 91% of homes rely on electric heat (Census B25040), so backup power planning starts with the fridge, fans, a medical device and maybe one AC unit. See generator installation. If water reached the panel or outlets, don’t switch the power back on until a licensed electrician has looked. Our flood guide explains why.

Eave lighting in Trinity neighborhoods
Trinity’s newer two-story homes and HOA streets are a great match for JellyFish. The track hides in the soffit, so it’s barely visible by day, and we’ll give you specs and a mounting photo for your architectural review. We light the eaves and gable rakes under the overhang, including pitched garage gables up one side and down the other. The controller goes in the garage on an existing outlet, and larger homes get extra power units connected to it, up to four total.
The Trinity install: on a newer two-story with a garage gable and front gables, we plan each run, connect extra power units as needed, and set up the app with you on install day. Many owners use warm white every night and switch to colors for holidays and game days.
You may also hear it called soffit lighting or permanent holiday lighting. See how it works on our JellyFish Lighting page, compare options on permanent lighting, or read about JellyFish in Pasco County. You can also get a free design preview of your home.
Setting up a Trinity visit
Trinity sits in a part of Pasco where more than one power company serves homes, street by street. Your bill shows which, and we handle the coordination. We book Trinity jobs ahead, with a site visit, an itemized quote and a set install day.
Our labor is warrantied for 2 years (5 years on a Member Care Plan), and JellyFish parts carry their own 5-year warranty. Ask about Acorn Finance; approval depends on credit.

Trinity homes, gas lines and generators
Census survey estimates put the average Trinity commute at about 30.0 minutes (ACS table B08013). About 8.6% of homes heat with utility gas or propane (ACS table B25040), and about 4.6% of housing is in buildings with ten or more units (ACS table B25024).
Where a house already has gas service, a standby generator may be able to use it after the gas provider confirms the meter size. Without gas, propane is the usual fuel.
