Treasure Island permanent Christmas lights for Boca Ciega Bay nights and Gulf Blvd evenings. Holiday color on a schedule, warm-white accent the rest of the year, security white at the entry, and Bucs or Rays game-day scenes — without another ladder season on a barrier-island roof.

Between John’s Pass and the Causeway
Treasure Island sits on the Gulf barrier island with John’s Pass at the north end, Boca Ciega Bay to the east, and the Treasure Island Causeway as the evacuation route. Housing mixes single-family homes with mid-rise and condo buildings, and about three in ten units are seasonally vacant. We treat each install as finish work on an upscale waterfront property.
The median home was built around 1970, with most of the stock from before 1980. Between holidays the same lights run warm-white architectural accent and brighter security white — then Christmas and game-day scenes when you want them.
Holiday Lighted Boat Parade and Christmas scenes
Treasure Island has held a Holiday Lighted Boat Parade winding through Boca Ciega Bay inlets toward a John’s Pass finale. Permanent roofline lights let a canal or Gulf-side home join those December nights every year without hanging temporary strings for one weekend.
Turtle season on the Gulf
Treasure Island appears on FWC’s list of cities with a sea turtle lighting ordinance. Nesting season in Pinellas runs May 1 through October 31. For Gulf-front homes and buildings we program turtle-friendly schedules so decorative Christmas and color scenes stay off near the beach until after October 31.
Flood, wind and salt air
The city notes the whole community is in a Special Flood Hazard Area and a wind-borne debris region, with open coastal wind exposure. We fasten every track run to framing, use corrosion-resistant hardware near the Gulf and the bay, and keep the controller indoors above the floor.

Treasure Island JellyFish Lighting FAQ
Do sea turtle rules apply on Treasure Island? Yes on Gulf-front property. Treasure Island has an FWC-listed lighting ordinance (Chapter 72, Article V), and Pinellas nesting season runs May 1 through October 31. We set beachfront systems so decorative scenes stay off near the beach until after October 31.
The whole city is in a flood and wind zone. Where does the controller go? Indoors and up high. Treasure Island notes the whole city is in a Special Flood Hazard Area and a wind-borne debris region, with open coastal wind exposure. We mount the controller on an interior wall above the floor and fasten track to framing with corrosion-resistant hardware.
Can you install before the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade? Yes when you book early. Treasure Island has held a Holiday Lighted Boat Parade on Boca Ciega Bay toward John’s Pass (recently a mid-December Saturday). We schedule installs so Christmas scenes can be ready before parade night when the calendar allows.
Can a condo or resort building get JellyFish lights? Often on unit-level exterior elements when the association allows it; shared rooflines need board approval. Treasure Island mixes single-family homes with mid-rise and condo stock and a sizable seasonal vacancy rate, so we check building type at the estimate.
Do I need a permit? If we add a new outlet or dedicated circuit for the controller, yes. We pull the permit and handle the inspection.
