Indian Rocks Beach Christmas lighting that stays on the eaves after the parade is over. JellyFish permanent lights for holiday color in December, warm-white accent on quiet nights, security white at the entry, and Bucs or Rays game-day scenes — without another ladder season on Gulf Blvd.

A Gulf town of cottages, multiplexes and low-rise condos
Indian Rocks Beach sits between Indian Shores and Belleair Shore, across the Intracoastal from Largo. Housing is an upscale waterfront mix: only about a quarter of units are single-family detached, with many 2–4 unit and 5–19 unit buildings rather than tall high-rises. Owner-occupancy is solid. We target detached homes and small multifamily owners first; full mid-rise rooflines need association buy-in.
The median home here was built around 1981, so soffits are often in good shape for a clean track. Between holidays the same lights run warm-white architectural accent and brighter security white — then Christmas and game-day scenes when you want them.
Christmas on the IRB calendar
The city’s recent Christmas season announcement included a tree lighting at 12th Avenue Park (12th Ave beach access at Gulf Blvd), a Christmas street parade weaving the finger streets to Kolb Park on Bay Palm Blvd, and a Christmas lighted boat parade from the Holiday Inn Harbourside. Permanent roofline lights let a home join those nights every year without hanging strings for the parade weekend alone.
Turtle season and Helene
Indian Rocks Beach has an FWC-listed sea turtle lighting ordinance. Nesting season runs May 1 through October 31. For Gulf-front property we keep decorative scenes off near the beach through nesting season, then open Christmas and holiday palettes afterward.
Helene (2024) hit the barrier islands hard — nine of Pinellas’s twelve Helene drownings were on the islands from St. Pete Beach to Indian Rocks Beach. We use corrosion-resistant hardware, fasten track to framing, and mount controllers high indoors. Pinellas design wind speeds place typical homes in the wind-borne debris region.

Indian Rocks Beach JellyFish FAQ
Do sea turtle rules apply in Indian Rocks Beach? Yes on Gulf-front property. Indian Rocks Beach has an FWC-listed lighting ordinance, and Pinellas nesting season runs May 1 through October 31. We set beachfront systems so decorative scenes stay off near the beach until after October 31.
Most buildings here are multiplexes or low-rise condos. Can you still install? Often yes on detached homes and on unit exteriors the association allows. Only about a quarter of units are single-family detached; small multiplexes and low-rise condos are common. We check ownership of the roofline and any board rules before we schedule a full-building run.
Will lights be up for the IRB Christmas parade and tree lighting? That is the goal when you book early. The city’s recent Christmas season included a tree lighting at 12th Avenue Park, a street parade ending at Kolb Park, and a lighted boat parade from the Holiday Inn Harbourside. We aim to have Christmas scenes programmed before those dates when your install lands in time.
Can a Gulf Blvd shop use color-changing lights? We set commercial facades to one steady brand color and ask you to confirm local sign rules for your address. Christmas and game-day color-changing scenes are for homes.
Do I need a permit? If we add a new outlet or dedicated circuit for the controller, yes. We pull the permit and handle the inspection.
