Permanent Christmas lights along the Redingtons — Redington Beach first for single-family homes, with North Redington Beach and Redington Shores covered when the building allows. Schedule holiday color for December, keep warm-white accent on the eaves the rest of the year, brighten the entry for security, and flip to Bucs or Rays game-day colors from your phone.

Tell us which town (Redington Beach, North Redington Beach or Redington Shores), whether it is a house or condo, and if Christmas scenes need to be ready this season. A licensed electrician will call or text you back (common mail ZIP 33708 across the Redingtons).
Keywest Lights & Electric is an Authorized Dealer and installer of JellyFish Lighting and an independent, licensed electrical contractor (EC13014717) based in Seminole. We are not JellyFish Lighting, the company. Gulf Blvd installs are planned projects: free estimate, written proposal, then a date aimed at Christmas readiness.

Redington Beach: the single-family priority
Redington Beach is the install-friendly prize among the three towns. Roughly three-quarters of its housing units are single-family detached, owner-occupancy is high, and many homes date to the 1950s — classic Gulf Blvd cottages and block homes where a color-matched soffit track disappears in daylight. That is where we pitch permanent Christmas lights hardest: one install, then every holiday after, with warm-white accent and security lighting in between.
North Redington Beach and Redington Shores: condo caution
North Redington Beach and Redington Shores sit on the same barrier island and ZIP, but more than half of their units are in buildings with 20 or more units. Seasonal vacancy is also higher. Roofline lighting on a mid-rise usually needs association approval; we target detached and small multifamily owners first and treat high-rise boards as a separate conversation. Redington Shores covers a little over a mile of Gulf Blvd and was incorporated in 1955.
Turtle season on all three towns
Each town has its own FWC-listed sea turtle lighting ordinance. Nesting season in Pinellas runs May 1 through October 31. For Gulf-front homes and buildings we program turtle-friendly schedules so decorative Christmas and color scenes stay off near the beach until after October 31, then open the full holiday palette.
Holiday nights and Helene recovery
Redington Shores has hosted an annual Christmas tree lighting on Gulf Blvd (Constitution Park when weather forced a venue change). The Redington Beaches Holiday Boat Parade — a tradition shared with Indian Shores — was canceled for 2025 after Helene left many participants still displaced. Permanent roofline lights let a home join December nights without depending on a parade calendar.
Helene pushed a Madeira Beach sensor just south of the Redingtons to a record water level for that storm in Pinellas. We fasten track to framing, use corrosion-resistant hardware, and mount controllers indoors above the floor. All of Pinellas is in the wind-borne debris region for typical homes.

Redingtons JellyFish Lighting FAQ
Do sea turtle rules apply in all three Redington towns? Yes on Gulf-front property. Redington Beach, North Redington Beach and Redington Shores each appear on FWC’s ordinance list, and Pinellas nesting season runs May 1 through October 31. We set beachfront systems so decorative scenes stay off near the beach until after October 31.
Is Redington Beach different from North Redington Beach and Redington Shores? For installs, yes. Redington Beach is mostly single-family homes — about three-quarters of units are detached — so roofline track is usually a homeowner decision. North Redington Beach and Redington Shores are majority mid-rise and condo stock, so association approval often comes first. We check which town and building type you have at the estimate.
Can a condo board on Gulf Blvd approve JellyFish lights? Sometimes on the unit’s own exterior elements; the building roofline usually belongs to the association. We supply track color, product details and a simple layout for the board. We do not invent HOA rules.
Will lights be ready for Redington Shores’ Christmas tree lighting? That is the goal when you book early in the fall. Redington Shores has held an annual Christmas tree lighting (recently at Constitution Park on Gulf Blvd when weather moved the venue). We schedule installs so Christmas scenes can be programmed before those nights when the calendar allows.
Do I need a permit? If we add a new outlet or dedicated circuit for the controller, yes. We pull the permit and handle the inspection.
