Upscale Seminole: Lake Seminole, Long Bayou and SLCCE

Citywide averages blend condos and mobile homes with single-family stock, so they understate the waterfront and golf-course neighborhoods that book permanent lighting. Lake Seminole was formed in the 1940s by damming an arm of Long Bayou on Boca Ciega Bay; waterfront residential development with canals and bulkheads grew along the western shore from the 1950s. Those canal and lake-front homes are a natural fit for a color-matched soffit track.

Seminole Lake Country Club Estates (SLCCE) is a deed-restricted single-family community on a peninsula between Cross and Long Bayou, surrounding the golf course and Baywood Lake (merged with Baywood Park in 1992). We install there as planned work and supply cut sheets for any association review without inventing HOA rules. Boca Ciega Bay frontage, Seminole Waterfront Park and nearby mainland streets round out the upscale pocket story.

Christmas on 113th Street and year-round accent

Seminole’s Waterless Holiday Boat Parade lights up 113th Street N in early December, and WinterFest follows at the Recreation Complex. Permanent roofline lights let a home join those nights in Christmas color, then return to soft warm-white accent for the rest of the year. Bucs and Rays game-day scenes are one more saved look in the app — no turtle-season delays on mainland Seminole.

Business corridors: steady brand color

Seminole Blvd, Park Blvd, Bay Pines Blvd and 113th Street sit under the city’s Commercial Corridor Overlay. For storefronts and offices we set one steady brand color on a schedule. Seminole’s sign code prohibits flashing, moving or swinging signs and certain flood or beacon lights, so we check your address before setup. Color-changing Christmas and game-day scenes stay on homes.

Power and the install

The controller plugs into a GFCI-protected indoor outlet, usually in the garage. If that outlet is missing or the circuit is busy, we add a new outlet or dedicated circuit. When that electrical work is needed, we pull the permit and handle the inspection. All of Pinellas sits in the wind-borne debris region for typical homes, so track is fastened to framing.

Project steps from our Seminole base

  1. Free estimate on site — footage, soffit style, controller spot
  2. Written proposal with track, spacing and any power work
  3. Association review for SLCCE or other deed-restricted streets when needed
  4. Install and app training with Christmas, accent, security and game-day scenes

Product coverage is JellyFish Lighting’s 5-year parts warranty on roofline lights, controllers and power supplies. Our separate workmanship warranty is 2 years, or 5 years for Member Care Plan members.

Seminole JellyFish Lighting FAQ

Do sea turtle lighting rules apply in Seminole? No Gulf nesting-beach ordinance applies the way it does on Madeira Beach or the Redingtons. Seminole is on the mainland side of Boca Ciega Bay and is not on FWC’s sea turtle lighting ordinance list. If you also own a Gulf-front place, we set that home with turtle-friendly schedules for May 1 through October 31.

Can you install in Seminole Lake Country Club Estates (SLCCE)? Yes as a planned project. SLCCE is a deed-restricted single-family community on a peninsula between Cross and Long Bayous around the golf course and Baywood Lake. We supply product and layout details for any association review. We do not claim what the HOA allows or bans — we work from your documents.

Is this only for waterfront homes? No. We install across Seminole, with a special focus on upscale Lake Seminole, Long Bayou and Boca Ciega Bay waterfront and golf-course neighborhoods where permanent Christmas and accent lighting fit the finish level. Everyday warm white and game-day scenes work on any suitable roofline.

What about business lights on Seminole Blvd? Business facades stay on one steady brand color. Seminole’s sign code prohibits flashing, moving or swinging signs and certain flood or beacon lights. We check the rules for your address before setup.

Do I need a permit? If we add a new outlet or dedicated circuit for the controller, yes. We pull the permit and handle the inspection.
